Super Deepthroat 2

When the original Super Deepthroat first came around, it changed the course of online porn games by being extremely damn addicting. That’s one of the many reasons why Hnomer Studios felt it might be appropriate to create a sequel to this great game.

2D Vs. 3D Blowjobs

Everyone knows that three-dimensional titties are better than two-dimensional ones, because they’re easier to grab on to. Well, that and they’re also much easier to fap to, but only when they’re drawn right. When artists work with 2D sprites for Flash games, they only really have to stick to standard hentai convention, and the final product will look absolutely fap-worthy. When you take that kind of art into 3D, you’re pretty much opening up a can of worms.

The standard anime or hentai style, pushed into 3D, ends up looking like plastic or rubber. The girls’ skin looks polished, too polished. It looks oily and shiny. Or, it’s completely matte and smooth. Either way, they look more like cookies than like actual people. That’s one of the downsides of moving into the 3D realm for animated smut babes.

On the flip side, you could go with a more western approach to the art style and make realistic 3D renders, rather than hentai inspired. That would make a bit more sense, but in that case, you’re pretty much squarely in the middle of uncanny valley territory. The girls start looking like terrifying monsters that may or may not eat you alive at any moment. The hyper-realistic skin just makes you uncomfortable more than anything.

The Push to 3D Graphics

In making Super Deepthroat 2, Hnomer decided to go the western route with the super realistic skin and freakish faces that make you contemplate your own existence. Why he chose to do this is beyond me, especially since the original was very famously a hentai title. I mean the guy who made the game is Japanese, for fuck’s sake; there’s really no need to westernize the game. But, maybe the developers didn’t feel comfortable with the hentai art style. Maybe it’s not their forte. Who knows?

What I’m basically saying is that the 3D graphics are more of a natural upgrade of the times and not so much something that the game needed in order to be hotter. But, it does allow for a lot more customizability, which I will talk about a bit more. The 3D opens up new perspectives and lets you experience the game in ways that weren’t previously possible. Plus, the realism is increased tenfold, when you see an actual three-dimensional cock ram down a chick’s throat. It’s much hotter, at least, in theory.

A Game of the People

This is an entirely Patreon funded project, with no requirements of payment. That means that you can play the game for free, regardless of whether you’ve pledged or not. This pretty much follows in the footsteps of the original game as that too was a cult classic for the masses. There wasn’t a single free porn game website back in the day that didn’t have this game in the top 10s. It was that influential and down to earth. I don’t know if the original developer ever made any real profit.

Hnomer Studios took things in a bit of a different direction, allowing for donations. I guess you can choose to look at this in one of two ways. The 3D graphics may be forcing Hnomer to ask for some support cash so that they can polish the game and work on the assets, which is arguably a costly task. It could also very well be the case that they intentionally went with 3D graphics in order to justify asking for donations.

I can’t tell you for sure, because it genuinely doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, you get both of these games for free, regardless. Plus, it’s not like they’re really stretching far for an excuse to make money. The game is actually really well made. It doesn’t crash or bug out, and it does very much deliver all of the features that it promises. You do indeed get to super deep throat a potentially infinite number of babes in this game, same as you did in the original, but with modern graphics.

New Features!

With the move to 3D graphics and a new engine, came a lot of novelty. First of all, the customizability options have increased tenfold. It’s one thing to increase a 2D pair of tits in size. You pull up a slider, and the circles get bigger. It’s not that hard to code. But, when you change any assets in a 3D environment, that means someone had to code that in advance and plan out how the models were going to change exactly.

Plus, hair, eyes, and facial features are no longer importable assets that someone else has to draw for you. You get an actual character creator, like you would in games like Skyrim, complete with asset sliders for every little thing. And, one of the more interesting features that comes with the use of a modern engine is the way that hair is rendered. This is where the graphics get really interesting. You actually get proper hair with this game. They didn’t code in motion response, so the hair doesn’t flow, but you do get to see individual hairs across the chick’s face, so I can’t complain. It’s a huge upgrade.

The customizability is probably the best part, though. You get this really extensive menu that really reminds me of The Sims with the layout. You can modify different parts of the girl’s body with separate menus. Specifically, there’s a head, breasts, pussy, and legs section, so you can pretty much create any type of woman you’d like.

Under the breast customization, for instance, you’ve got 10 different sliders. You can increase their size, position, weight, slope, and even decide whether they’re implants or not. I guess this makes them stick out more than usual, but I haven’t tested it out. I like my tits natural, if I’m given a choice.

Weird Shit

Here comes a small list of things I think they have to improve as soon as possible. First of all, the eyes freak me the fuck out. I can’t believe they managed to bring us hyper-realistic scrotum skin, but they skimped out on the eyes. The chick is stuck in a perpetual stare that looks like she’s trying to steal your soul. It’s really uncomfortable to look at.

In the original game, the girl’s eyes were always seductive and boner inducing. The only thing these eyes will induce, however, is a stroke, if you stare at them for too long. They look like a static image drawn by a blind person who was asked to sketch their best guess at what eyes look like. Then, they just slapped the texture onto an eyeball and called it a day.

Then, there’s the lack of a throat bulge, and here is where I felt really cheated. This girl can take a 9-inch dick down her throat, without so much as bending her head or the dick itself. Plus, you see nothing across her throat. There is no bulge, and there should be a bulge. The whole point of Super Deepthroat used to be to shove that cock so far down her throat that she’s basically two-thirds penis.

But, I tried to choke this bitch on my virtual cock, and it just did not work. I don’t know if they haven’t implemented that feature yet, or if they flat out don’t intend to, but I’m underwhelmed. All in all, this game has a long way to go if it’s to live up to the original’s success. But, they’re on the right track with the customizability, and the engine seems to be ready for anything. I am very much looking forward to future installments of Super Deepthroat 2.
