Here we go again; it’s time for some heavy weeb shit. We’re officially living in the future, so VR weeb games are all the rage. I’ve seen a bunch of these things crop up on Steam. I still don’t get what Steam’s approach to porn games is, officially, since some of them get the ban-hammer, and others like this one seem to be doing quite well for themselves. Either way, the platform is rampant with these hentai themed VR titles that are cropping up like weeds. They all feature the exact same gameplay for some reason, though developers are essentially in a pissing contest to see who can give players the hardest boners.

This game right here has some unique elements and a ton of standard tropes that you’ve seen before. You get one room, one catgirl, and an infinite amount of possibilities on how you can punish her and turn her into the perfect nympho. It’s worth noting that she’s more than happy to fuck you six ways to Sunday, without any training, but you’re going to whip her anyways, because this is a bondage game. There are countless toys and tools that help you punish her harder, faster, and stronger, and if you can keep from busting a nut, you should try out all of them.

Playtime with Kitty

When you first fire up this bad boy, you’ll notice that you’re given free reign over this particular kitty, and you can do damn near whatever you want to her. This is not a story-driven game; it’s a sex simulator. It’s the kind of game in which you live out your deepest and darkest fantasies, but it’s bright as shit, and most things are pink. Seriously, for a sex dungeon, this girl’s bedroom seems awfully wholesome. Plus, she’s smiling throughout most of her punishments. Sure, there’s a ton of voice-acted moaning and groaning, but if you’ve ever taken part in hardcore BDSM, you’ll know that people take that shit very seriously. It’s not supposed to be this cheerful.

Either way, the people that played it really seemed to enjoy it, and I’m on the same boat. I didn’t find it nearly as arousing as I had hoped. To me, it was more of a fun experiment than a jack-off worthy experience. I rubbed one-off out of respect, but this wasn’t anything that I haven’t seen before, and I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. More on that later.

Grab-Action and Penetration

This is a VR title first and foremost, so you can do a bunch of weird shit with your catgirl that wouldn’t really work without motion controls. You can grab her, move her around and pretty much stick your dick wherever you want. You have an in-game avatar, which is made headless, so the fucking head doesn’t get in the way. But, you don’t notice that on account of… you know, you have your own human head to worry about.

The dick is the important part. It’s almost as large as your real-world cock, and you can stick it inside this bitch any way you like. Plus, you can grab her and hoist her onto your dick manually, if you don’t want to watch her suck your cock willingly. This is probably the best part of the game for me. It’s nice to feel like I’m actually there pushing my cock into this girl. I felt decently immersed into the experience, though nowhere near as excited as I was when I watched actual VR porn. That was much better.

For me, this game isn’t really a work of smut, as much as it is a tech demo of the things we can expect to see from porn games in the future. Games like Virt-A-Mate make these types of VR titles kind of redundant. Granted, you can’t have cartoonish cat-girls in Virt-A-Mate, so I guess this is a game for weebs.

Build-A-Kitty

Even though you only get one catgirl to play with, you can customize her any way you’d like. There’s an extensive wardrobe that lets you dress her up in various cute outfits. You can choose lingerie, skirts, gloves, tights, hairstyles, and colors for each of these elements. You can also give her one of many haircuts, and again, choose the color of the doo. The customization isn’t nearly as extensive as I’ve seen in other games. You can’t actually mod the girl’s attributes. So, I can’t shrink her waist and expand her ass to cosmic proportions.

But, she’s pretty hot as she is, so I guess that’s not too much of a problem. None of this game is inherently problematic. It’s a cute, niche title for weebs to jack off their dicks to. The problems kick in when you factor in the price. At launch, this game costs $50. That’s a ridiculously steep price for a game that has one type of gameplay, one character, and barely any replayability value. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t pay that kind of money for a single porn VR game that I know I won’t play for more than an hour.

VR and PC Features

As a VR-first title, this game’s non-VR functionality is absolute garbage. You do not want to play this game without a VR headset. I am not kidding. It’s absolutely unplayable on PC without the motion controls. It’s not even the visor that matters. It’s moving the bitch around and getting her to do what you want. The game really doesn’t work well with a mouse and keyboard.

But, jump into a VR headset, and just like that, the game stops sucking and becomes very immersive and responsive. You can move the girl around, slap her tits around, though not grab them. Hell, you can even pet her ears and tell her she’s been a good little catgirl, to which she will reply by smiling and purring. It’s all very adorable. It almost makes me not want to jack off.

I’ve played a lot of VR games and a lot of VR porn games, so I feel I’m enough of an expert to say that this game is a 9/10 title, in terms of optimization. Everything is smooth, responsive, and runs really well. I have a GTX 1070 hooked up to my Oculus Rift, and I had zero problems, but I’m sure a GTX 1060 or even a previous-gen GPU could handle these graphics. There are no special effects. Everything is flat and textured, making the game a smooth sail.

Speaking of textures, they’re the reason I’m not giving the game the full 10/10. Sometimes they clip and break your immersion like there’s no tomorrow. Plus, there are moments when you accidentally shove your head into the catgirl, and you can see her insides. That’s kind of dumb. Why not just push her out of the way? A similar problem can occur if you move your head too far while you’re in a sex scene. You will see your own body, from afar, completely headless, getting sucked off by this bitch.

They could just as easily have made the player’s model invisible during the sex scenes or at least try to prevent you from moving too far out of bounds. But alas, in this game, moving too far off position will fuck everything up and make the game look silly.

A Decent Weeb VR Game

If you’re the kind of grown-ass man who collects plastic action figures of his favorite anime girls and jacks off on them, then this is the game for you. If you are not an absolute weeb, however, I doubt you’ll get much enjoyment from Nympho Trainer. The sex scenes and the various BDSM scenarios are hot, sure. But, they’re not the kind of hot that you can just keep replaying for infinite fun.

It would have been a significantly better game if the catgirl changed depending on how you treated her. Like, maybe they could have had some sort of mechanic where the more you punish her, the sadder or angrier she gets. Perhaps you could lose her trust in the process. Possibly, you could earn her trust by being kind and reward her with your cum across regular intervals.

You get none of that in this game. It’s as uneventful a simulator as it could get. And, with the hefty price tag, it boggles my mind that the developers thought this was a good idea. I can’t fault them on the quality of programming, though. They might have designed themselves into a corner, but when it comes to the programming, they did a bang-up job. VR is still a nightmare to optimize for, so I’m very glad to see developers that seem to have figured out how to make smooth and responsive VR games.
