Harem RPG Remastered

It is funny the things and people you find on Twitter. You like a post here, you stare extra long at a tweet there, and you get these random notifications and esoteric posts in your feed. But I am not being cynical; I kind of enjoy the planned chaos of social media. I bring this up because several days ago, I saw a post from @FylokonGames. They have a modest following so far, but they are a fascinating independent mom-and-pop video game developer with a fun story. And with that, let's get into the details.

The Backstory To This Site Is Intersting

When I said, this is a mom-and-pop operation, that was not much of an exaggeration. The two founders of this production company are a husband and wife duo who started making video games in the later 2010s. Unfortunately, COVID-19 derailed their first project, but they are not back at it. As we will see by looking at their main site and their social media feeds, they have accomplished a good deal and are adding to it as they go.

The Site's Signature Game In An Interesting Remaster

The first and (as of this writing) only game that you can see on Fykolon Games is the remastered version of Harem RPG. It is a story-driven RPG in which you play as a traveler from a distant land trying to save your home. A group of wizards has turned your land's women infertile, but fortunately, a hot-ass angel has given you magic powers. This spirals into a political drama, magical adventures, and no shortage of sexy encounters with a host of hot women.

The graphics are pretty decent, in my opinion, and the story is pretty engaging. And to make things better, the current version is a remaster. In this version, there is built-in mouse support, improved resolution, and an adjustment to the story to add to the latter half of the plot. And Fykolon Games is going to continue to add new scenes and events indefinitely. As an added bonus, I have found that they are looking to the fans for feedback and what they would like to see in future installments.

With most free games online, they tend to be shit. Of course, the better ones always cost money and usually quite a bit. The collection of carnal vid games on sites like Nutaku tends to be good whether they are free to play but win or no cost but require microtransactions to improve the experience.

The redone version of Harem RPG however, can cost money, or none, or a little extra after you spend money to download or not. The reason is that Fykolon goes off of a tip model. Their normal asking price is a mere $2.00, which ain't too bad considering the quality. However, you can forego spending anything and then tip them later (which I officially encourage) or pay them more than the base price. Money can be sent via PayPal, credit or debit card.

This game is compatible with Windows and Mac systems, plus you can play it on your Android. But you might have a bit of an issue since some operating systems might not properly identify the developers.

They Are Pretty Good About Getting Back To Customers

It is always interesting to me to see how companies deal with customer complaints or questions. We have all experienced the frustration of being stuck on hold with the largest international corporations. I am sure that everyone reading this is familiar with the hit-or-miss nature of dealing with Steams customer support. Most frustratingly, I have found that the worse are medium-sized companies that give you only an email to use and take weeks to get back to you, if ever. But despite being run only by two people, Fykolon Games is super good about responding to questions people have for them. The best way to contact them to troubleshoot games or get hints would be by clicking over to the Harem RPG link and leaving a comment.

You Can Support Them On Patreon, Too

If I had to bring one more and final criticism, I would really like to see a progress bar or series of posts on FykolonGames.com. They do post elsewhere online, but you'll have to switch between their customer support page, Twitter page, and Patreon. If you want to keep up with what is going on with this fledgling production studio, the best way to do so would actually be via their Patreon page. For as little as $2 a month, you can get access to polls, their feed, and their games. As a member, you will also be able to shape the future of Fykolon Games.

What Does The Future Hold For Fykolon Games

I am sure you are thinking about what is next for this kinky married duo. Well, given the fact that they are more interested in making pornographic games rather than porno movies, I imagine that their production cycle is going to be a little slow. But from what I have read, they are collaborating with other people, so that is a good sign.

Honestly, it seems a little premature to judge this site since they do have a lot of potential. But based on what I have seen so far, Fykolon Games could be polished though their first game ain't too bad. Given the fact that Harem RPG is a remaster, and you can buy it at the price you set, I'll give them extra points for that.
