What!? My Neighbors Are Demons!!?

It warms my heart to see a porn game actually make it through on Kickstarter. Patreon’s all well and good, but that’s a donation box. A game being successfully Kickstarted means that it passed all the initial tests before development and delivered a great product afterwards. I mean, I guess they could also take the money and run, but that wasn’t the case here. I’m just going to call this game WMNAD, because fuck spelling out that entire fucking title every single time. And, if you think I’m going to use the exact exclamation points and question marks, you can forget about it.

Anyways, now that I’m done making fun of the title, let me just say, this game right here is a perfect example of a smut project done right. If you’re into making smut and you’d like to learn how to do it right, study these guys, because they covered all of their bases from the get-go. They got a huge team, having one person per task. And I mean that literally, they had several artists, one in charge of backdrops, another in charge of characters, etc. You get the point. They actually formed a team of people who do their jobs, instead of promising the world and under-delivering like idiots. They’re great the game’s great, and you’re about to learn why.

Keeping it Simple

Everything about this game is simple, from the story to the art direction. It’s intricate and dense, sure, but they knew exactly what they wanted from the start, and they just went out and did it. Let’s start with the art style. It’s your standard, run of the mill visual novel approach of having 2D hentai babes (and one hentai dude) on screen who talk to each other and move the story along. Eventually, they get hot and heavy in ways that you can’t even imagine at this point; I’ll get to that.

But, for some reason, they also wanted to pepper the game with chibi-style characters. You know the ones, the super cute tiny dwarf looking motherfuckers with giant eyeballs. Those aren’t too sexy on their own, but throw some cum on them and mix them in with the more mature looking renditions, and you’ve got yourself a cum fiesta.

I love the art style to this game, because it’s always shifting, but the on-screen action moves along in a straight line. If a chick is taking cum down her throat, I get to see it in several angles across two different art styles. That’s the kind of shit I can get behind. They don’t rip you out of the action to show off their art skills. They keep the action flowing forward so that you can keep jacking off. If only more game developers did this.

Super Unique Mysterious Story

This game’s story is the perfect mix between mysterious and not being a fucking annoying clusterfuck of plot twists. I hate it when porn games or hell any games have a story that’s constantly dicking you around instead of feeding you something enjoyable. This ain’t fucking Twin Peaks. You’ve got an actual fleshed-out story that these people figured out in advance. You don’t get cliffhangers and minor teasing. It’s constantly moving forward.

In the spirit of encouraging you to actually play this thing, I’ll avoid spoiling the entire plot. Although, there’s not that much to spoil. Most of the spoilers are in the title already. So, you play as this chick who lives in this average ass apartment complex. Everything is run of the mill until one day, a couple of, ahem, totally not suspicious twins with glowing eyes move in down the hall.

Your character just happens to be going through some personal shit and doubting herself six ways to Sunday. These lovely neighbors happen to see this as a very interesting development, and they grow an interest in her. Fast forward a little bit, and you’re spending time with them, hanging out, and slowly turning into a new person.

Things eventually devolve until you’re nigh unrecognizable, and they’ve got you doing some things that you could only ever have dreamed of. The game’s story spirals really quickly, and it’s a goddamn delight to watch. You can pretty much jack off through the entirety of this game’s story. It’s gold through and through.

Really Interesting Characters

The characters of this game are going to interest you from the get-go. Something is fascinating about every single one of them, and there’s only four of them, for fuck’s sakes. This is what I mean when I say figure out what you want and do it, instead of unnecessarily peppering your game with a ton of bitches that are all cookie-cutter clones of one another.

Fuck that. These characters are unique, and they have some believable behavior. So, you’ve got the twins, and I can’t figure out which one I like more. I mean, clearly, I like the female one more, because I’d like to fuck her up the ass six ways to Sunday, but I mean, in terms of personality, it’s hard to find a favorite.

The female twin is a bit of a cock hungry slut, who wants to turn your character into an absolute whore. I can get behind that kind of mission. Hell, it’s what I do for the women of this world, and I’m not even a demon. Then, there’s her brother, who wants her to hold back a bit so that their current slut target doesn’t end up like their last one.

Apparently, they managed to send the poor fucker to the loony bin because they were too hard on him. I have no idea what they did to the guy, but it must have been hot.

Then, there’s your “best friend” Vanessa, who should be the voice of reason in a video game with actual demons in it, but alas, that is not the case. She’s an even bigger whore than the demons, in a way. Her entire shtick is taking care of you, but honestly, I can’t tell who the bigger threat is.

And finally, there’s you, Selene. An innocent young girl who’s working really hard to recluse herself and move away from negative thoughts. By negative thoughts, I, of course, mean sexual thoughts. This is a porn game, after all. So, you’ve got the two demons who are trying to stuff you full of cum and your best friend on the other end, pulling you towards, well, more cum, probably. There’s nothing I don’t love about this setup. Plus, the game pretty much implies there’s a raging fire’s worth of horniness hidden inside your character that’s just waiting to burst out. I can’t wait for the full version of this game. Speaking of…

Steam Dreams

This game was actually greenlit for Steam a while back, and it’s now queued for an early 2021 release. That means that by the time you read this review, it might actually be time to buy the finished product. I am not sure how much they’ll be charging for it, but I’m staying optimistic. I’ll be buying it regardless, so it’s not like I’m scared, but it’s still nice to hope for a lower price point.

Either way, the demo itself is already worth money, but it’s available entirely for free. In it, you can either skip straight to the H scenes so that you can get a feel of what to expect in the finished product. Or, you could also start from the top and get some narrative. But, from what I’ve seen, I’m guessing that this is more of a mid-story excerpt. The actual introductions are missing completely, so it’s probably a midpoint sample of what you can expect. I wonder about both the before and the after, to be honest.

I really want to see the rest of this story, because if this is their idea of a demo, I can only imagine how hot the finished product is going to be. I’ve already got this game on my Steam wishlist, and I’m eagerly awaiting the full release. In the meantime, I’ll just jack off to the demo, and I urge you to head on over and give it a one-handed playthrough as well.

This game is the perfect example of a Kickstarter project done right. I’m very proud to see a smut game pushed to fruition like this. Plus, it’s greenlit on Steam. If this game were any more impressive, I’d start to wonder if it was even real or if I dreamt it up. If you’re a true connoisseur of hot smut games like I am, you’ll bookmark this baby for future faps. I’ve got high hopes for WMNAD’s full release.
