Since porn games don’t really get a lot of media coverage, especially when they’re a bit more taboo than most, they can completely disappear without a trace leaving fans confused and blue balled. That’s exactly what happened with Futanari Quest, this amazing porn game that used to be a long-awaited legend, but is now all but forgotten. The game is still playable, and I’m still going to go through all the things you can expect to find within. Nevertheless, this game is shrouded in mystery as it appears to have disappeared entirely from all official channels, save for some download links on third party sites.

This game has a little bit of everything I love. There’s a simple RPG combat system, the like you’ve definitely seen if you’ve ever played an RPG maker game. You see the enemies in front of you during combat, and you choose what you want to do to them. Except, there’s no actual combat, like with weapons and spells.

Instead, you fight your enemies with sexual innuendos and conversation. Yes, you get literal actual dialogue lines during combat, and it affects how things pan out. Combat either ends with the enemies fucking off or with you having sex with them. If you want to fuck them, you have to play your cards right. You have to increase their arousal with the right moves like tickling, licking, flirting, and the like, but the conversations are easily my favorite part.

It kind of reminds me of real life, to be honest. If you want a large-breasted fairy chick to fuck right off because you’re too busy to fuck her, you can tell her that you want to ram your cock inside her ass, and she gets offended. I love this kind of gameplay. It’s reminiscent of how women actually respond to flirting in real life. You have to ease into it, or you lose their attention.

The smut art in this game is fucking everywhere, and it’s hot as fuck across the board. You get to fuck most if not all of the sexy characters with your new fem-penis, and it’s all really fun to watch. Plus, did I mention that the entire goddamn game has voice overs? They’re not some ultra-high quality, but it doesn’t matter. I’ll take basic voice acting across the whole game over high-quality snippets any day.

Plus, the writing is so amazingly well done that you actually feel for the main character. She’s in a bind. A fairy grew a dick on her crotch and said she has to impregnate 100 bitches or suffer a terrible fate. I mean, that’s the kind of high tier porn writing that I play these games for. It really keeps me going.

A Successful Patreon

Around two years ago, this game was part of a booming Patreon campaign, and people were extremely eager to pay the big bucks for this project. The game promised immersive RPG gameplay with amazing smut scenes and a ton of futa content for you boys and girls. People ate it up, and the developers promptly forked over the finished product.

I’ve seen Patreon projects that managed to draw out the development process for over five years. Studio Fah, the geniuses behind Futanari Quest, didn’t waste any time. It would appear they were as excited about the hot futa action as their fans were, because this game was 100% finished, exactly when they said it would be, and they officially closed development. They didn’t draw shit out.

Steam, the Grim Reaper of Smut

Steam can be the place a game goes to become famous and live out the American dream, or it’s the place where games go to die and get buried before they’ve even had a chance to see the light of day. Steam aborts porn games before they’ve even hit shelves is basically what I’m trying to say. Now, it didn’t use to be this way. Steam used to be a great place to launch porn games, until such point as they started freaking out about adult content on their platform and shooting games dead in the face. I don’t know why they did this exactly, but countless smut games lost their lives that day. They’re now documented on third party sites in lists of the many games that suffered needlessly under Steam’s censorship regime.

Futanari Quest was lined up to release on Steam right after the giant blowout of dead smut games, which is probably why the developers weren’t properly prepared for the hate that would follow. At first, they had every reason to believe that they were looking forward to a smooth launch. All the bells and whistles were ready, the game was polished to perfection, and 1.0 was right around the corner.

Then, Steam rejected their game. They were devastated, and so was the community. They were looking forward to playing Futanari Quest, and they were sure that they would be able to own the game on Steam. Studio Fah then did the only thing they thought would save their game and give the Steam launch some hope. – They censored all of the smut so that the game would be more appropriate for the platform.

Steam rejected their game again. At this point, it became clear that Futa Quest would not be making it on Steam, ever. In their desperation, Studio Fah realized they’d have to find another player, someone with similar funding but a greater appreciation for chicks with dicks. So, they went to the one place on Earth where women of all shapes and sizes are welcome – Nutaku.

A New Hope: Nutaku to the Rescue

Nutaku came in out of left field, like a much-needed hero at the end of this story, to save Futanari Quest from a gruesome fate of being canceled before it even got released. They signed some sort of contract, I would assume, as the game was very much announced as an upcoming Nutaku title, both by Studio Fah and by Nutaku themselves. Things were finally looking up for fans of Futanari Quest, especially since Nutaku are known to keep their games free, without exception, though they do litter them with micro-transactions.

This new hope did not last for long, however. Without any warning, at least for the public, Futanari Quest disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. The official link is still there on the Patreon, saying that the game is available on Nutaku, but if you click through it, you end up at a dead page saying the game is no longer available on Nutaku and that’s the end of it.

What’s Next?

Nothing. The game is officially dead across the board, but there’s some hope for players still. The finished 1.0 of the game is available through third party links, and it seems none of the devs care much about this. It would appear that the project was completely abandoned. Luckily, the game is actually finished, so you’re free to enjoy it.

I’d suggest you grab a copy and archive that shit in case the links all go dry eventually. The game’s definitely worth your time, so you might as well give it a try.
