The main way the game operates is that you talk to a girl whom you meet in the first week of college. You’re the new kid, and all you want is to get your cock sucked, but it seems as if your life is destined for boredom. That is until you meet the aforementioned girl who takes you on quite a wild ride.

Now, I feel I need to point out that the girl is pornstar Riley Reid. And it’s not just that the character model looks like her or she has the same name. No, it’s literally Riley Reid. Did the creator get a hold of her for this? Does he have a sex industry connection? The jury’s still out on that one, but what I can say for certain is that she teases you from the first moment you lay eyes on her.

When you aren’t with Riley, you’re managing your day-to-day life. Time is a real factor in the game, as certain actions you choose take up different ranges of time.

For example, you are provided with the day and time. You then have options like “University”, “Diner”, “Mall”, etc. Each of these choices takes you to these different locations where events can unfold. And time ticks off the clock each time you choose one of these actions.

Now, that may not seem too interesting on its own. However, this game is a lot like real-life college. No, it’s not the handjobs in parks or anything like that, but the grades you get. Your grades are kept track of, so going to your classes may play a role in the story further down the line. However, in the time I spent with the game, my grades didn’t change (this may be because this game is in an early access phase, so the game mechanic may be inactive for now).

When you visit these locations, you sometimes have a chance to interact with them. Early on, the one place you have to make choices at is the mall, but I wasn’t able to actually follow through with any of the options (I had a choice to go to a Male or Female Boutique).

Along with keeping track of grades, you may be wondering where the sex really starts to kick up. But, fear not, as the game presents a fascinating way of injecting its sex scenes into the flow of the narrative. When you travel to the diner where you’ve just landed a waiter position, you see a GIF of a hot woman staring at you. She just so happens to be your boss, so maybe you get to stay after work one evening and bend her over the tables! I never got that far, but I feel like that’s where the story was heading.

Every time an event happens, you are greeted with a GIF. One of the options involves staying at home and…wait for it…jack off. Yes, you can jack off in a game that you’re probably jacking off too! It’s like a sexy version of Inception. When you watch the porn, you get to see real GIFS of hot chicks getting banged. Pretty cool, right?

Looping back to the simulation aspect, you even have a budget that you have to worry about. If you don’t work, you don’t earn cash. And cash is what keeps the lights on. I can honestly say that this is the first time I’ve ever seen something like this in a game, and I commend the creator for creating a unique sex game to play and interact with.

It’s All a Transition

The overarching plot of the game is that you slowly morph from a male to a female. Full disclosure: I didn’t get far enough into the game to see this change, but it does happen and is the main point of the game. But, I did see inklings of this in the opening hours. When you watch porn on your computer, you start with “Vanilla Sex” as the sole option. I have a feeling that, further down the line, more options open up so you can look at kinkier things.

Who knows, perhaps this is the perfect game if you want to know what transitioning would be like. Or, maybe this isn’t even close. Either way, it’s nice to see a game show a perspective that gets pushed to the side or is ignored by so many people.

What I Like

I like that there are numerous genres rolled into one package. Now, this isn’t a complete game, and new features are being added in the future (like the working grading system), but what is there is something extremely fun and special. The use of GIFs and simulation storytelling is a great combination. Also, you get to see Riley Reid’s cute and fuckable face. That’s always a positive thing.

What I Hate

For all of the great things The Making of a Slut has going on for it, the grammar needs a lot of work. A lot of the dialogue has spelling errors, so reading some of the lines is difficult at times.

Final Thoughts

I think The Making of a Slut is a gamble that the creator took. It meshes a few different genres together and creates a hybrid game that, frankly, I’ve never seen before. It’s a fun game that makes you want to know what’s going to happen. Adding in the simulation aspects like money and grades makes for a richer gaming experience then what could have been.
